This Privacy Policy describes how D. Communications Playbooks, operated by Doreen M. Harrell (“we,” “us,” “our”), collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit dplaybooks.com, join our waitlist, download samples, or purchase digital products. Our site and products are hosted by Podia Labs, Inc.
1. Products and Services
We sell digital products including individual Playbook Volumes and the Bookshelf Bundle Founders Edition. All products are digital downloads licensed for single-user use unless a team or classroom license is purchased. Purchases are delivered through your Podia My Library account.
2. Information We Collect
You provide directly:
Name and email address when you create an account, join the waitlist, request the Bookshelf Sampler, or purchase
Billing address, zip code, and country when required for tax
Payment information is collected and stored by Stripe and PayPal. We do not store full credit card numbers
Messages you sent to hello@dplaybooks.com or via contact forms
Collected automatically:
IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, time on site
Purchase history and product access via Podia
Email engagement such as opens and clicks if you are on our list
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
Deliver your sampler, playbooks, worksheets, and bundle updates
Create and manage your account and My Library access
Process payments, send receipts, and calculate sales tax
Add new Volumes to your Founders Bookshelf and notify you when they drop
Send waitlist and launch emails only if you opted in
Provide customer support and prevent fraud
Improve our products and site
Comply with legal and accounting obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Email
If you download the Sampler or join the waitlist, you agree to receive emails about that sampler and related product updates. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in every email. Transactional emails about purchases and new Volumes added to a bundle you already bought may still be sent.
5. How We Share Information
We share only as needed to run the business:
Podia Labs, Inc. — website hosting, account management, digital delivery, email delivery, and support
Stripe and PayPal — payment processing and fraud prevention
Google Analytics — if enabled, to understand site usage
Legal authorities if required by law, or to protect our rights

6. Cookies
Podia uses essential cookies to keep you logged in, remember your cart, and deliver your library, and analytics cookies to measure performance. You can control cookies in your browser. Disabling essential cookies may prevent access to purchased products. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
7. Data Retention
Email and waitlist data retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
Purchase records retained for 7 years for tax and accounting
Founders Bookshelf access retained for as long as the product is supported, including lifetime updates promised at purchase
After that, data may be retained in de-identified or aggregated form
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, including Texas and California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing.
To exercise these rights, email hello@dplaybooks.com with subject “Privacy Request.” We will verify you via the email address on file and respond within 45 days.
We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If you are in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, you also have rights to object to processing, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Our legal bases are contract necessity to deliver your purchase, legitimate interest to operate and improve our business, and consent for marketing where you opted in.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards including HTTPS, secure processors, and limited access. Podia provides secure, expiring download links. No system is 100% secure.
10. Children
Our products are for professionals and not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact us for deletion.
11. International Transfers
We operate in the United States. If you access from outside the US, you consent to transfer and processing in the US, where laws may differ.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new Effective Date and, for material changes, notify you by email if you have an account or are on our list.
