Terms of Service for D. Communications Playbooks

These Terms of Service govern your access to dplaybooks.com and your purchase and use of digital products sold by D. Communications Playbooks, operated by Doreen M. Harrell. By purchasing, downloading, or accessing any product, you agree to these Terms.
Our site is hosted by Podia Labs, Inc. Your use of the Podia platform is also subject to Podia’s Terms at podia.com/terms, but your purchase relationship for content, licenses, and delivery is with D. Communications Playbooks.
1. Products
We sell digital playbooks, worksheets, templates, and playbook bundles. All products are digital. No physical goods are shipped.
2. Accounts
You must create a Podia account to access your library. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account.
3. Licenses
a) Single-User License — default. Unless you purchase a Team or Classroom license, all products are licensed to one individual for professional use on your own projects. You may print one copy for personal reference and store files on your own devices. You may not share, resell, distribute, sublicense, upload to a shared drive, or post files, worksheets, or templates for others to download.
b) Team and Classroom Licensing. For use by multiple people on a team, agency, or in a class, you must purchase a Team or Classroom license. Contact hello@dplaybooks.com for licensing.
c) Founders Bookshelf Bundle. If you purchase the Bookshelf Bundle Founders Edition for $250, you receive immediate access to Vol. 01, and each additional Volume is added to the same product in your My Library as it is completed at no additional charge. This constitutes delivery. Lifetime updates means you receive updates to Volumes included in your Bundle while the product line is supported.
You may not reproduce frameworks to create competing templates or courses for resale.
4. Pricing and Payment
Prices are listed in USD. Each playbook price set is $69. Bookshelf Bundle Founders Edition is $250, a $95 savings off the $345 individual cover value if purchased separately. Prices may change. If a price changes, the price at checkout controls.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe or PayPal via Podia. We do not store full credit card numbers. You agree to provide accurate billing information.
5. Delivery
Digital access is immediate after purchase via My Library at dplaybooks.com. For Founders Bundle, future Volumes are delivered by adding files to the same product. You will receive an email when new content is added. It is your responsibility to maintain access to the email address on your account.
6. Refunds — Digital Products
Due to the nature of digital products that can be downloaded and printed immediately, all sales are final and non-refundable once access is granted, except where required by law. If you have a technical issue accessing files, contact hello@dplaybooks.com within 14 days and we will fix access.
If you purchased by mistake and have not downloaded or accessed files, contact us within 48 hours and we will review on a case-by-case basis.
7. Waitlist and Sampler
If you join our waitlist or request the Bookshelf Sampler, you will receive a free sample PDF containing selected pages and one worksheet from current Volumes. Sampler content is for evaluation only and is subject to the same single-user license and no-redistribution rule.
8. Intellectual Property
All Content, including playbooks, frameworks including the Concentric-Ring Framework, text, design, worksheets, templates, and field notes, is owned by D. Communications Playbooks and protected by copyright. You are granted the limited license in Section 3 only. All rights reserved. Frameworks reference the IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation, which is the property of the International Association for Public Participation, and the PRSA Code of Ethics, property of the Public Relations Society of America. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by IAP2 or PRSA.
You may not use our marks or brand without written permission.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: share login credentials, post our files publicly, use content for unlawful purposes, attempt to reverse engineer delivery, or use automated tools to scrape our site or library.
10. Disclaimers
Our playbooks are educational tools based on field experience. They are not a substitute for legal advice, formal public participation planning on regulated projects, or consultation required for tribal, environmental, or land-use matters. We make no guarantee of professional outcomes. Content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your purchase or use of products shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim, or $250 for Bundle claims. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost profit damages.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Aransas County, Texas, and you consent to jurisdiction there.
We do not require binding arbitration.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect new products or legal requirements. We will post the updated version on this page with a new Effective Date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
